Description of Services Provided

Our Psychiatric/Medical services provide for the comprehensive medical management of mental illness for people 18 and older. The team includes a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurses. Physician services may include assessment, medication management, psychotherapy and coordination of GMHC services while the nursing staff may provide assessment, triage, coordination, education and programs that assist with medication compliance. Individuals utilizing this service are either in need of a psychiatric assessment and/or symptom stabilization and ongoing symptom management. Nursing staff may assist with administering medication, filling medication organizer boxes, delivering labeled medications to clients, providing education about mental illness and observing the client’s self administration of medications.
