Open Arms Drop-In Center
Description of Services Provided
Drop-in centers are peer-operated, community-based programs for people 18 years and older that provide safe, friendly, confidential, supportive and recovery-oriented environments. Open Arms provides a safe place for individuals to share experiences regarding treatment and recovery journeys without fear of judgment. Open Arms offers comprehensive support groups (including PTSD, recovery, NAMI connections and others), peer support, DRA (Dual Recovery Anonymous) meetings, journaling workshops, meditation and relaxation training. Open Arms’ staff and volunteers empower consumers to change the quality of their lives; listen, respect and validate; offer supportive and constructive feedback; and faciliate consumers helping one another to gain greater insight and understanding. Services are available to anyone who just needs to talk to someone who understands – all are welcome. Our hours are Monday 9-6, Tuesday 9-9, Wednesday 9-6, Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-6, and Saturday 10-4.
