Beacon Employment Services Program Supervisor
Jackie was born, raised, and educated in Colorado. She received her BS in Biology from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center and her MS in Plant Science from Montana State University Bozeman. While in school, Jackie was a vocational program instructor, academic researcher and horticulturalist. Through her life as a student, teacher, and individual, she has been a member of many different kinds of communities. Jackie has come to believe the way we interact with the community profoundly impacts our lives. Our jobs are a significant way we engage, navigate, and contribute to a community. Employment is about more than having a job; it is a part of our identities and how we walk through life. Jackie is driven by the belief that employment and community involvement are crucial to recovery, fulfillment, and empowerment. Community inclusion strengthens and enriches communities and empowers individuals. Living in the Gallatin valley, Jackie has developed a deep appreciation of the quietude of the mountains and the sense of community among people here. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, baking, and exploring wild places.
