Jackie was born, raised, and educated in Colorado. She received her BS in Biology from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center and her MS in Plant Science from Montana State University Bozeman. While in school, Jackie was a vocational program instructor, academic researcher and horticulturalist. Through her life as a student, teacher, and individual, she has been a member of many different kinds of communities. Jackie has come to believe the way we interact with the community profoundly impacts our lives. Our jobs are a significant way we engage, navigate, and contribute to a community. Employment is about more than having a job; it is a part of our identities and how we walk through life. Jackie is driven by the belief that employment and community involvement are crucial to recovery, fulfillment, and empowerment. Community inclusion strengthens and enriches communities and empowers individuals. Living in the Gallatin valley, Jackie has developed a deep appreciation of the quietude of the mountains and the sense of community among people here. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, baking, and exploring wild places.

Valerie began working at GMHC in June 2012 as a Support Staff team member. In july 2013, she became the Operations Manager and Support Staff Supervisor. February 2015 she took on additional supervisor duties with the Maintenance Program. May 2015 brought even more additional duties, being assigned supervisor of the Livingston Mental Health Support Staff Team. She enjoys how the diversity of her job duties allows her to wear many different hats throughout the day, and providing support to all staff in both the Bozeman and Livingston Offices. She is honored to be part of a team that provides so many positive services for our clients and our community. The staff at GMHC is outstanding and she is proud to be one of the team members.
Open Arms Drop-In Center Manager
Leann is from Herrin, a town in Southern Illinois, where she lived until moving to Montana in 2011. Growing up in a tight knit community you truly never meet a stranger. Leann carries this value today.
Leann has an Associates Degree from Argosy University and is pursuing a Bachelors in Psychology Advanced Studies. At GMHC she worked as the Client Account Representative for 2 years before being given the opportunity to manage the Open Arms Drop In Center. She is passionate about helping so in turn she is proud to be part of the amazing team at GMHC and believes in the work they do both collaboratively and independently.
In her personal time Leann enjoys being outdoors with her husband, their 6 children and their dog, Jill.
